This is where you get to know me and all my glorious narcissism?!

 A little background…. I started my journey in January 2013 at 265lbs. Although, my heaviest was 280lbs. I went to Miami for my 30th birthday {November 2012} and completely freaked out at a picture I saw of myself. So, I started working out at home using kettle bells and some cardio via Shaun T and Dr. Oz. The biggest change was my diet. I was using The Gracious Pantry and Skinny Taste for healthy family recipes. I also watched my portions. The best thing I did for myself and my husband was throwing out our enormous plates and eating off of salad plates. Then, after 3 months I hit the gym. When I lost fifty pounds, it hit me- I WILL DO A BIKINI COMP.

Here are 13 {my favorite number} facts about me:
1.       I’m hilarious. I love laughing and I have a dirty mind. 
If you’re not laughing at least twice a day something is wrong!
2.       I curse a lot.
3.       I’m pretty sure my kids are the best dressed kids on the planet.
4.       I’m a foodie. I love pretending to be a restaurant critic.
5.       I enjoy judging celebrities. I’m addicted to People, InStyle, and Vogue magazines.
6.       I’ve been in love with Chris Webber since the eighth grade.
7.       I collect Marilyn Monroe crap.
8.       I hate doing anything crafty. If I find something cute, I will find someone to make it. 
9.       I’m addicted to anything Madonna. She is my favorite artist of all time.
10.   I love to travel. Fiji and Dubai are on my bucket list.
11.   I worked at Hooters in college.
12.   I like studying serial killers.
13.   I love any and everything Sex and the City. 
I know all 94 episodes by heart and I will never get tired of watching them over and over!

  7. I've been following you for a little while now, but just wanted to say I LOOOVE how real you are, how much you cuss, and how amazingly dedicated you are to working out and eating right! And your kids ARE adorable and well dressed. And you just keep on looking better every time I check in! Damn...   12. Just found your blog, great transformation! Such an inspiration. I am about at the same weight you are now and I am starting a new program through Juice Plus+ and I hope it helps to cleanse and jumpstart my weight loss. I am hoping for 50 pounds, I just had a baby and have 30 pounds to loss from that plus 20 from before that I wanted to lose. Any tips or great clean recipes?

  16. Love your blog! ! I had the same issue. I was looking at my anniversary pictures and I didn't like what I saw. I'm ready to make a change but I don't know how to get started.

    1. If you go under the fab workouts tab, there's a bunch of info on how I got started. The best advice is to make a plan. Start weekly and set daily goals for your workouts/diet.
